My first blog post in what seems like forever!

Over the past year I took on a few more Lifestyle Newborn sessions! I offer studio newborn sessions in my home and also lifestyle sessions which are held in my clients homes. If you’re wondering the difference between sessions, studio sessions tend to take on a bit more of a “posed” approach whereas lifestyle sessions tend to be a little more relaxed and are typically geared towards candid shots and poses. With studio sessions it’s important to book your baby in when they’ll be in the age range of around 5-15 days old (babies tend to be sleepier in this time frame which makes studio type posing easier!). With lifestyle newborn sessions, babies can be booked in anywhere from 5-30 days old. Both types of sessions are beautiful (and really just a matter of personal preference :) ).

I met the Watson clan’s newest member when he was a few weeks old and he was absolutely adorable. One of my favourite things about any newborn session is really being able to showcase how little these fresh babes are when they arrive. The newborn stage goes by so incredibly quickly and before you know it you have a one year old! This little man slept most of our session and was pretty much a dream to work with (along with his cutie older sister :D )
